What size for a move
A downsizing move out of a full house usually needs a 20 yard container. An apartment or a targeted purge of a few rooms fits a 15 yard. If you are mostly clearing a garage before listing, a 10 yard is often enough.
Selling a house
If the move is tied to a listing, the container usually earns its cost twice: once by reducing what you move, and once by making the property show better. Cleared garages, empty basements and open closets photograph and walk far better than full ones. Plan the container before the photographer, not after.
